Mercedes Finalist Sitak defeats former top 10 player

Artem Sitak, who was a finalist in both the singles and doubles of the Mercedes Holiday Tournament in 2009, has risen to stardom just as singles champion Nicolas Monroe did last year. Sitak is currently ranked 350 on the ATP Tour. He will jump 50 spots after defeating former top 10 player Mario Ancic in the final of the latest USTA $15,000 Future tournament. Sitak also won the doubles crown in the tournament prior. In 2009 Monroe won 2 doubles crowns and had many semifinals after winning the Mercedes. Both players have committed to coming back for this year’s new $50,000 Mercedes Holiday tournament.
